In this new year it may be time for a new approach to finding a job

In this new year it may be time for a new approach to finding a job. This job market  is like none other, and you should approach it that way.
Here are some things to consider when applying for that job in today’s market. To
  1. Is in the job you want. I know that sounds weird but are you just being in your safety zone and going after the same job you have before or are you really putting all this hard work and sometimes frustration to the best use and get the career you want.
  1. Are you using all the resources that you have at your disposal to find that job. There are quite a few resources that you have the ability to use and were never around before, like craigslist, monster.com, career builder.com, and the many things that your local state agency has to offer. A good place is also LINKDIN.com, this is the good place to net work with others
  1. One of the most important things is making yourself stand out in today’s job market. Take a moment and look at your resume and ask yourself ” what will make this stand out against the other residents”?
With many years of interviewing, hiring and training hundreds of different people in a wide variety of fields, I know that making yourself stand out to get the attention of the employer is as crucial as your resume. What good is a a phenomenal resume is no one reason, it doesn’t matter how qualified you are if no one looks at  your resume.
Thinking outside the box has become an important part of you getting that job. with the flood of resumes they come across employers desks in this job market, thinking outside the box is crucial. Some great examples are having a PowerPoint presentation as your resume, having a link to a video of yourself, but I feel the best one is having a website that promotes yourself. It doesn’t matter what position you’re going for right now you are in sales and marketing in your selling and marketing one of the greatest products, you! use these tools on the Internet to really promote yourself and get your name out there.
Whether you can set up a site yourself or use a service such as  Working You.The practice of of online marketing yourself is starting to become the norm. You have to get yourself out there online and in a professional way so employers can see and meet you.
That  It is exactly what Working You does for you!  Whether you use this amazing service or not it is important that you gain an online presence.
Is is so important that you type in to any network you can and find as much support for you job hunt. You want to remember at take a lot of work to find the job you want.

GREAT NEWS !! JOB OPENING ROSE

WASHINGTON (By Andrea Ricci) - Job openings rose in October from the prior month, government data showed on Tuesday, while the job openings rate increased.
Job openings, a measure of labor demand, rose 351,000 to a seasonally adjusted 3.4 million, the Labor Department said in its monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. September job openings were upwardly revised to 3.0 million.
In October, the job openings rate -- a gauge of how many jobs were still open at the end of the month -- rose to 2.5 percent from an upwardly revised 2.3 percent in September.
The rate of new hires was steady at 3.2 percent, while the separations rate edged down to 3.1 percent from 3.2 percent, the Labor Department said.
With the rise in October, job openings were 44 percent higher than the trough in July 2009, just as the worst U.S. recession in decades was ending, the Labor Department said.
"Overall, the October JOLTS report shows that while job openings are continuing to improve, hiring remains subdued," said Barclays Capital economist Nicholas Tenev in a note.
